Merthyr Half Marathon – 25th March

The race follows a one-lap, undulating course through the Merthyr Tydfil and the surrounding countryside. The race starts and finishes at Merthyr College.


  • Entry cost – British Athletics/UKA affiliated runners: £23 (£20 if booked before May 22nd)
  • Non-affiliated runners: £25 (£22 if booked before May 22nd)
  • Kids races are all £5 each
  • Prizes for 1st male and female in half marathon
  • On-site parking
  • Toilets
  • Supervised bag store
  • Refreshments
  • Finishers get medal, T-shirt (select size during registration) and goody bag


Transform – 7th April

Competition held April 7th 2018 and will be judged by G.A.H Gym owner & PCA Judge Leica Gelsei

£20 to enter competition which goes to Velindre.

Category requirements:

  • Physique – Celebrating lean toned physique. Bikini or trunks for stage and a selection of basic poses to perform
  • Transform – Celebrating your fat loss journey. Wear what you feel comfortable on stage, before photo and fat percentage and inch loss at start and end. Short interview about your journey.
  • Lifting – Perform squat and deadlift with weight using correct technique

  • Friendly and relaxed race, ideal for beginners or those after a PB.


Inspire open water sprint triathlon – Sunday, 5 August 2018

  • 750m open water
  • 20km bike
  • 5km run
  • closed road around park, ideal for beginners or those after a PB.
